Change agents must emerge

The only constant is change.

The biggest inertia to change is my self.

Suppose there are 2 boys; William & Keung. Each has a dark & painful past clouding the personality and the past drives the daily actions & life direction of both. Let’s just say that both had their last of kin brutally murdered with no law upholding the order of society.

They are divided by 3 lines … choices, suffering & letting go.

The suffering is great because you’ve lost your family; your emotional sanctuary and all the love you’ve depended on all this time. Choices & letting go come in tandem because whether you let go of the past will determine what you do for your future.

Now as both boys made different choices … the main factor is the change agent.
William is lucky to have an uncle who came into his life, and helped him see life & grow from an educated eye. He cannot undo the past, he cannot resurrect his family & even if he goes for retribution, how many more people have to die before he ever achieves it?

Keung was unfortunate not to have a change agent in his life … someone to help him grow, not only from education of knowledge, but more importantly, education of the heart & emotions. Perhaps he can excel, perhaps he can become highly decorated, but if his life is driven deep down inside by hatred … even when he has achieved his revenge, his life will then become meaningless because that’s what he has fought for all this time. In the process, everything he has achieved, everything that he has built are all upon lies for he has forsaken what’s true to him … and revenge ends in tears.

I don’t wish to quell on how hate can destroy a person … but more on the fact that for most lost people outside … the path to discover true self, self love & self actualization is hard due to inertia.

This is why the world needs change agents. To be the initiator … to plant the seeds of change in others … because people tend to view things from within their own box …

Change agents must identify the potential deep within others; reach in for the rough diamond … that’s the challenging role we need to have today. The world has become more materialistic, more greedy & self-centred; what’s missing is the balanced soul with morals, principles & holistic perspective to life.

Without change agents, we may just reach the millennia of technological advancement & economic pinnacle, but with crumbling morals & division of humankind … the need to drive change in thinking has become greater.

This is why AoC must start somewhere and sometime. Now & here. Starting from me.
